Volunteers Clear 207 Pounds Of Trash From Hudson River Park Shore

The Hudson River Park trust and volunteers from the Whitney Museum of American Art came together to clear 207 pounds of trash from Ganesvoort pier. There were ten planned clean ups like this one along the Hudson River and the waste is being logged with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to get a better sense of what is being thrown away, where it’s coming from and how it is impacting local marine life.
